Universal Account Number or UAN is a 12-digit unique number which is provided to each salaried employee who contribute a part of their income towards Employees Provident Fund.
It is generated by Employee Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) that remains unchanged throughout the employee's professional life, irrespective of number of time he/she changes his job.
You can keep a track of all your EPF contributions, transfer/funds withdrawal from your PF account online.
How to generate UAN?
Follow the mentioned steps below to generate a UAN.
- Visit the EPFO Portal
- Provide all the details such as Aadhar, PAN, bank details, captcha code and click on Get Authorization PIN.
- Enter the PIN that you recieve on your registered mobile number and click on Validate OTP and Activate UAN.
- A new UAN will be generated by EPFO.
- Now you can login to your EPF account using your UAN and passoword.
